Pricetag (“Pricetag”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use the Pricetag macOS application, the Pricetag website at macpricetag.com, and related purchase or support flows.
Pricetag is a native Mac app for managing app, in-app purchase, and subscription pricing through the App Store Connect API. The app does not require a Pricetag account. It does not sell your personal data, does not use third-party advertising SDKs, and does not use cross-app tracking.
The controller responsible for data processing in connection with Pricetag is:
Thomas Brandstätter Am Steinfeld 19 8020 Graz Austria Email: office@macpricetag.com
Pricetag helps Apple developers calculate, review, and publish regional prices for apps, in-app purchases, subscriptions, introductory offers, promotional offers, offer codes, and win-back offers. To do this, the app communicates with Apple’s App Store Connect API using credentials you provide.
Depending on how you use Pricetag, we may process the following categories of information.
If you choose to connect Pricetag to App Store Connect, you enter your App Store Connect API Key ID, Issuer ID, and private key. These credentials are stored in your Mac’s Keychain and are used by the app to communicate with Apple’s App Store Connect API.
We do not operate a Pricetag server that receives or stores your App Store Connect API credentials.
Pricetag retrieves and may locally cache information from your App Store Connect account, such as app names, app identifiers, app icon URLs, product identifiers, product names, product states, prices, price points, countries or regions, currencies, subscription and offer metadata, and related price schedule information.
This data is used to display your products, calculate price changes, create exports, and publish price changes back to App Store Connect when you request it.
Pricetag stores certain information locally on your Mac, including app settings, selected product type, feature preferences, cached entitlement identifiers, locally cached App Store Connect data, and custom pricing datasets you import or create.
Custom datasets are stored in the app’s documents area on your Mac. Exports are written only to locations you choose through macOS file dialogs.
Pricetag supports purchases through the Mac App Store and license purchases through Lemon Squeezy.
Mac App Store purchases. Apple processes App Store payments. Pricetag uses RevenueCat to manage offerings, purchases, purchase restoration, and entitlement status. RevenueCat may process purchase-related identifiers, entitlement status, product identifiers, app user identifiers, device information, and technical usage data needed to provide purchase functionality.
Lemon Squeezy licenses. If you use a Lemon Squeezy license key, Pricetag sends the license key, license instance identifier, and a license instance name derived from your Mac’s serial number to Lemon Squeezy to activate, validate, or deactivate the license. Lemon Squeezy may also process purchase-related customer information, such as customer name, customer email, order identifiers, product identifiers, and license status. Pricetag stores the license key and license instance identifier in your Mac’s Keychain.
Pricetag does not receive or store full payment card details.
Pricetag uses Firebase services to understand app usage, improve reliability, and diagnose crashes. The app uses Firebase anonymous authentication to create an anonymous user identifier. That identifier is also used to identify the same app installation to RevenueCat and Firebase Crashlytics.
Firebase Analytics may process technical and usage information such as app opens, app version, operating system version, device information, general region, session information, purchase-related events, and feature events. Pricetag’s custom analytics events are limited to product behavior such as entering or clearing keys, activating or validating a license, importing a CSV, saving a template, requesting a review, and using price-change features. These custom events are not intended to include your App Store Connect private key, full product catalog, customer data, or exported CSV contents.
Firebase Crashlytics may process crash reports, stack traces, device and operating system information, app version, crash timestamps, and the anonymous user identifier to help diagnose stability issues.
Pricetag uses Firebase Analytics without advertising identifier support and does not use Firebase for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Pricetag uses a currency conversion API to support currency-related calculations. Requests may include currency codes and amounts needed for conversion. The currency provider may receive technical request information such as IP address and request metadata as part of normal network operation.
If you contact support from within the app, Pricetag opens your email app and prepares an email to support@macpricetag.com. The draft includes text you can edit and may attach a device information file containing app name, app version, build number, Mac model identifier, macOS version, language, timezone, RevenueCat purchaser ID, and Lemon Squeezy license key. If the email was created from an error flow, an error description may also be attached.
You can review, edit, or remove attachments before sending the email.
The Pricetag website is a static website. We do not intentionally use it to create advertising profiles or run behavioral advertising. Like most websites, the hosting provider, content delivery networks, and your browser may process technical request information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, date and time, referrer, and similar server log data needed to deliver and secure the website.
The website links to external services such as the Mac App Store, Lemon Squeezy, Apple, and email links. Those services process data under their own privacy policies.
